Almost 20% of those questioned for this survey had never paid into a pension scheme. A further 16% had previously paid into company or stakeholder schemes in the past but were not currently contributing. A total of 46% of 18 to 25 year olds have never paid into a pension scheme and 29% of them save nothing on a monthly basis.
