A study from two professors at the Rotman School of Management has found that larger pension plans (with an average of $37bn in assets) outperformed smaller plans (with an average of $1bn in assets) by 0.4% each year. According to the paper, the difference could amount to a 13% bigger pension in retirement for those who have invested for their entire working lives.
