According to a survey by Pulse, 51% of GPs said they plan to retire before the age of 60. Of the 759 doctors questioned, 38% of respondents intend to retire at 56-60 years, whilst almost one in seven will retire before the age of 56.

According to a survey by Pulse, almost half of GPs have brought forward their retirement plans. The survey of 364 GPs found that 43% are looking to retire earlier than they intended to five years ago, with the average GP aiming to retire at the age of 61.
