Jun 2017 United Kingdom Longevity, Pensioners & Retirement
A new report from the PLSA and Club Vita has highlighted how socio-economic factors impact on longevity.  The research found that average life expectancy at 65 has barely risen since 2012, although more affluent retirees are living longer. Men in the 'comfortable' group lived on average 3.3 years longer than their 'hard-pressed' counterparts. As for women, those in the 'comfortable' group lived 1.6 years longer than those in the 'hard-pressed' group.
