The research reveals that companies have seen increases in requests for cash equivalent transfer values of up to 135% and increases in pension transfer volumes of up to 100%.

According to data from Origo, the proportion of pension transfers that go into self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs) has increased from 21% of transfer money to 43% since the introduction of pension freedoms two years ago. The data, based on transfers facilitated by Origo, also found that money transferred into annuities decreased from 38% to 7% across the same period.
