4 Jul 2007 United Kingdom Pension Reform, Investment - General, Advisers
According to new research from Merchant Investors, almost half (44%) of adviser companies are planning to stick with their chosen self-invested personal pension (Sipp) provider, despite recent changes following Sipp regulation on 6 April 2007. While many advisers have decided against reassessing their current Sipp provider, in the weeks leading up to the Sipp regulation a third (34%) of advisers had yet to hear from their provider about the changes coming into effect, and 14% of adviser companies were at the time dealing with providers which to their knowledge had not yet applied to be regulated.
