11 Feb 2013 United States Pensioners & Retirement, Investment - General, Funding and Minimum Funding Requirement, Countries - US, Annuities and Income Drawdown
Research by Managing Partners Limited (MPL) suggests that there will be substantial growth and liquidity in the traded life policy (TLP) market as the baby boomer generation enters retirement and potentially sells policies to find sources of finance. MPL analysed data from the 2010 US Census and found that the population of US pensioners aged 85 and over, who are the most likely group to sell their life policies, is projected to grow from 5.75 million in 2010 to 7.24 million by 2025.
