The Investment Company Institute (ICI) and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) have published research on the asset allocation of investors in traditional individual retirement accounts (IRAs). The report, based on data from more than 10 million IRAs, reveals that the largest share of traditional IRA assets was invested in equity funds and individual stocks at year-end 2007 and 2008.
