ICI has published its analysis of newly available tax data showing that in 2014, 63% of workers between the ages of 26 and 64 participated in an employer-sponsored pension plan or had a spouse who participated. The study also found that participation in employer plans was greater among older workers with higher incomes, as 77% of workers aged 45 to 64 with incomes of more than $30,000 participated in such a plan or had a spouse that did.
