The Home Office has published financial and scheme membership data on the firefighters’ pension schemes in England. The statistics show that pension fund income increased 26% to £380m in 2015/16 from £302m in 2014/15, while expenditure increased 19% to £890m in 2015/16, from around £750m in the previous year.
