Research from independent active investment manager GAM has found that 78% of professional investors believe that the majority of pension funds will fail to reach their long-term investment targets as a result of increased longevity. The findings also revealed that 64% of respondents agree that regulation needs to change so that retirement schemes are allowed more flexibility in their asset allocation decisions.
