According to a survey by Friends First, almost half of people (47%) do not have any personal pension provision and of those who do not, 78% are not sure that they will have an adequate income in retirement. The research also found that just three in ten respondents believe they could live comfortably on the current state pension and that just over half (56%) expect to have paid off their mortgage by the time they retire.
