Index tracking managers continue to dominate the UK pension fund arena
Survey of top investment houses shows passive managers stay on top
Financial Times
13 Jun 2005 United Kingdom Investment - Management

Legal & General Investment Management and Barclays Global Investors came top of the league table, reflecting the sustained move by pension fund trustees from active management to passive index tracking. The results also reveal how trustees are changing from traditional balanced managers to a more core/satellite approach, where the core is formed of passively managed money and the satellites are specialist mandates.
