Federation of Small Businesses (FSB)
Oct 2002 United Kingdom Pension Reform

This evidence is based on a number of common themes that emerged from a series of FSB pensions seminars held throughout the country, bringing together politicians, academics, and small business owners. There was a general consensus amongst attendees that although the UK pensions system was basically strong, there would be a growing crisis if Ministers failed to act. The key arguments in the evidence cover the areas of information, state pensions, minimum income guarantee, increasing life expectancy and a replacement for the second state pension.
