According to research by Equiniti Paymaster, 75% of annuity providers believe that annuities are still fit for purpose at retirement following the changes to pensions announced in the Budget. However, 97% of those surveyed think that there will be an increase in the cashing in of small pots and 87% think that more pension savings will be withdrawn as a lump sum and used for purposes other than retirement income.
