According to research by Employee Benefits and Staffcare, 84% of employer respondents allow staff to contribute to their DC pension through a salary sacrifice arrangement. This is 10% higher than in 2016. Group personal pension (GPP) plans remain the most common type of primary pension scheme offered by organisations, with 67% of respondents using a GPP as their primary scheme for auto-enrolment purposes in 2017, compared to 66% in 2016.
