Whilst the association welcomes the FSA's national strategy on financial capability it warns that, with consumer confidence at an all time low, relying solely on education to protect consumers and make markets work would be naïve and reckless. It says consumers need access to affordable, unbiased advice and that the solution is a National Financial Advice Network (NFAN) in order to encourage consumers to save.
