Research from Clerical Medical shows that pensioners have seen an average rise of a third (34%) in the cost of the goods and services they purchase, in the last ten years. Over the past year, pensioner inflation was 3.9%, the highest rate in a decade. This is the third Clerical Medical Pensions Report, part of a series of research pieces published by HBOS plc, highlighting savings and wealth trends in the UK.
