Many UK Pension Funds Set to Increase Allocation to Private Equity
The current and future private equity investment behaviour of major UK institutions
Centre for Management Buyout Research
26 Sep 2005 United Kingdom Investment - Venture Capital & Private Equity
A study of 239 institutions, which included pension funds and insurance companies, conducted by the Centre for Management Buyout Research (CMBOR) and sponsored by Adveq, looks at the current and future private equity investment behaviour of major UK institutions. The survey shows that the next 2-5 years will see the actual number of UK institutions investing in private equity slightly fall from 41% to 38%. However, this will be offset by an increase in the proportion of total assets under management being allocated to private equity.
