B&CE Benefit Schemes has published the findings of a survey it conducted in November 2009 concerning the attitudes and intentions of potential savers towards the planned introduction of the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) in 2012. B&CE undertook the same survey in November 2008 and the follow-up was intended to find out whether attitudes had changed much due to the recession in the intervening year.

Without decisive corrective action by Government to meaningfully reduce the scale of the problem of smaller pension savers losing out through the erosion of their means tested benefits, most relevant journalists say they plan to warn people to think twice before staying opted-in to the new Personal Accounts scheme, according to a survey carried out for B&CE Benefit Schemes.
