20 May 2010 United Kingdom Surpluses and Deficits, Savings, Funding and Minimum Funding Requirement
AXA Wealth research conducted by YouGov has revealed that over a third (35%) of babyboomers appear unconcerned by retirement planning, yet the average annual shortfall between what is needed and what is expected is £5,099 pa. For younger babyboomers, this average rises to around £7,000 pa. AXA Wealth warns that thousands of people could be mis-calculating retirement income and many are over-reliant on downsizing their homes to fund their autumn years.
